ALEX CARR MUSIC
ALL ABOUT ALEX CARR MUSIC
Alex’s musical career began when he was 12 in Shanghai, China. Having lived in Shanghai for 10 years, he has spent a lot of time behind drum kits on stages and in studios and experimented with production techniques curated from China’s party capitals’ vibrant electronic music scene.
As a student Alex founded various bands in Shanghai and performed at many live music venues incl. major events such as the F1 and other events sponsored by Sennheiser. The Rough Diamonds project was the first to be professionally recorded and mastered and generated his deep interest for music tech. In Shanghai, Alex recorded with Emmy Award Winner John Altman.
In the wake of winning a drumming competition sponsored by DW Drums, he spent a summer in the Los Angeles California region, interning with DW Drums in Oxnard and at Grandmaster Recorders, one of the most iconic analog recording studios in Hollywood.
Working with Jimmy Haywire motivated Alex to study Music Performance & Recording at the London College of Music which he completed with a Bachelor Degree in 2017. Various band and session projects in highly divers musical genres have produced an initial repertoire of recorded music.
He is currently working as a session drummer and producer in London.
